[Meta] NaNoWriMo Day 3

I forgot to post last night: 3744 additional words, total of 7292 so far. The first two days were, honestly, a bit of a struggle as I tried to figure out how to get things started. Then yesterday, I realized that my original progression was not what was actually going to happen, and suddenly a very large chunk of story fell out of my head! I have some tentative ideas for what that does to the next steps in my outline but I'm prepared to be surprised there, too!
