[Meta] NaNoWriMo Days 19 & 20

Only 871 words on Tuesday, but 1796 today, bringing me to 35,993. I'm coming out of transitional material and back around to actual plot, finally.

I'm having to remind myself that it's OK to ramble on a bit in this draft. Figuring out better ways to do certain things is the job of revision. Right now, the job is to get something working.

Curiously, in my day-job as a software engineer, I'm facing a similar dichotomy. The code I wrote today works, but it's uuuugggggllyyyyyy. Making it cleaner will come later.
